Cottage Flair ... About Me
      I have always enjoyed searching for and rescuing vintage pieces. I started as a child, tagging along with my parents to endless tag sales, antique shows and flea markets. What a thrill it was when I found a treasure. 
      Along with this,I have always loved decorating and I have been a decorative painter for 20 plus years. Finding a neglected vintage piece of furniture and giving it new life exemplifies the shabby chic cottage style of decorating.  I choose pieces with great character and sturdy construction. Outdated pieces newly painted and distressed become beautiful shabby chic treasures for any decorating style. Combining objects that are complimentary to each other rather than a perfect match can add so much character to your home.
     I have been extremely fortunate in being able to be in business with my mother, joining her many years ago with her retail store. We shop trade shows together and through our shop and my website we are able to offer  our customers what we think are wonderful decorative accessories and gifts.
